What counts as 45 years of pension

In addition to periods of employment, periods of child-rearing and unemployment (unemployment benefit I) are also counted towards the 45 contribution years. However, the last two years before retirement age are excluded from this regulation. In this way, the pension insurance wants to prevent employees from quitting two years before they actually retire in order to retire early with a small reduction in their old-age pension.
