How is the widow’s pension credited to my own pension?

If you are still working, your own income, otherwise your own old-age pension will be offset against the widow’s pension. As soon as the tax-free amounts are exceeded, your widow’s pension will be reduced accordingly. If your earned income or your own pension is too high, it is even possible that the survivor’s pension will be completely cancelled. By the way: The survivor’s pension is also available for men (widowers) if the conditions are met.
