When will my widow’s pension be reduced?

Pursuant to § 97 of the Social Code Book VI, other income is offset against the widow’s pension from the fourth month after the death of the spouse (death quarter) if it exceeds the tax-free amount.
The tax-free amount for surviving dependants is currently 902.62 euros in western Germany and 883.61 euros in the new Länder (as of April 2022).
